Things To Know About House Snagging

How long do you have to report snags on a new build?

You have a 10-year warranty, for the first 2 years, your builder will be responsible for any defects then after that your warranty provider. My advice would be to get a report done as early as possible.

Do builders have to fix snags if they are written in the report?

No there are tolerances, these will be taken into consideration and explained in the survey.

When is the best time to have a snagging survey?

In my opinion, the best time to get a survey is within the first week of handover.

Is a snagging survey the same as a structural survey?

No, a snagging survey will mainly consist of cosmetic items there may be some areas of concern that could require further investigation by your builder.

How do I choose my follow-up inspection dates with the full package?

Your snagging survey may take a few visits by various contractors to get completed. When the builder says they have done they require a signature from you to say you are satisfied with the work. We can if you want return and check off the items at a small cost.

How quickly will I get my report?

Once the snagging survey is complete, we aim to send you our report within 48 hours.

How do I pay for the Inspection?
